the Frontiers Collective started July 1, 2021, with select alumni of Adams Aremu’s Transcendence Masterclass 2.0, with only fourteen members, including; Emmanuel Ojeikhodion, Damilola Omotoyinbo, Ajani Samuel Victor, Habeebulahi Muhammed Yunusa, (Late) Jude Anuoluwa, Odu Ode, Shitta Faruq Ademola, Emmanuel Mgbabor, Akinola Amina, Adedoyin Kayode, Ariyo Ahmad, Oluwatamilore Osho, Flourish Joshua, and Deborah Ajilore.
then the need to welcome new members arose; Abdulkareem Abdulkareem, Chinedu Gospel, Eniola Abdulroqeeb Arowolo, Muiz Opeyemi Ajayi, Joshua Effiong, Omodero Oghenekaro David.
when Odu Ode left the collective, Ayokunle Samuel Betiku joined in his stead.
unfortunately, (Late) Jude Anuoluwa had to leave few weeks into the collective to wrestle the thing that later overpowered him, then we welcomed Zainab Iliyasu Bobi.
we believe in poetry as an atmosphere for free and safe expression, individualistic expression. we celebrate diversity on the basis of age, religion, ability, socio-economic status, gender identity or expression, nationality, race, sex or sexual orientation. we unite for poetry and other personal affairs that may or may not flimflam the individual.
and we are, as Mary Oliver puts it, the world’s working poets who are not trying to help the world go around, but forward.
